How to identify a Quadricep Injury
In evaluating a quadricep injury, what we are going to look at is we are going to look at the athlete’s ability to straighten their leg, the quaricep, the muscle on the front of the leg would be straight as I said, so we are going to ask the athlete to put pressure against the hand and see if they can straighten that leg out. In a severe injury they are not going to be able to lift that leg, it is going to be too uncomfortable for them to do that, the more force that they can generate, the more mild that that injury is most likely.
