How to increase your gas mileage, change your air filter?
Hey everyone! I'm Eric Rochow and this is Real World Green. This is my buddy Michi. Today, we're going to give you a really simple tip to improve your gas mileage and that is to change the air filter in your car or truck. It's really simple, even I can do it. Alright. Watch.
Put on some gloves if you like. If you don't know where the air filter is, you can look in the owner's manual of your car. Oh, might be time to change that. By changing your air filter, you can improve your gas mileage up to 10%, so that's a lot in these day and age. This one obviously needs to be changed.
Most car manufacturers recommend changing this every 12,000 miles. So that's about every other oil change. And if you go to one of those quick lube places, they change oil and they can also change your air filter for you. So you don't have to wear the gloves if you don't want.
Alright. For this and other cool green tips, come to the green house, green-house.tv. Tell me what you think? Alright. Make a great day. I'll see you later.
