Danny: Hey, Joe looks like some more toilet repair.
Joe: Yeah, looks like that way Danny but actually the toilet itself is fine the problem having is the lid that sits on the tank, this is actually pretty common problem and that the lid itself doesn’t fit that bowl. So little wobbly and because it’s wobbling you get that grinding sound.
Danny: I've seen that a lot and that’s sure it’s an aggravating sound.
Joe: It is, it’s like nails on the blackboard, because just a bear trying to surface and scratching against another bear trying to surface. So what I'm going to do to fix that problem is just put a bit of silicon, clear silicon around the top of the tank so that it will act as a gasket.
Danny: Okay.
Joe: So we just start on one end just put a bid right on, you don’t need that much either, maybe eight inch diameter and then right across the front.
Danny: Now, as soon you'll let this dry probably overnight.
Joe: Yeah, at least overnight because you want to make sure it’s good you obviously don’t want to put the lid back on and glue it in place you're just trying to create a rubber gasket.
Danny: Well, Joe let's see if your little trick works.
Joe: Okay let's take a look it’s been 24 hours the silicon is nice and fully cured which we set this on top, take a look at that, not a sound out of it and no wobbling at all.
Danny: Well, that silicon really worked great and you know there's a lot of ways you can use silicon in your bathroom. But I’ll bet you never thought about this one.
