How to Increase Excel Chart Font Size

Hey! Welcome back to the Mr. Excel Net cast, I’m Bill Jelen. Here’s another cool trick from Columbus, Indiana. I was there last week doing a seminar. I love going to Columbus, great architecture there. You should visit someday Roger. Actually someone from the class asked a question and then I didn’t have an answer.

We’re talking about formatting a chart and I was going to through and format these individual elements. So I might like choose the chart titling and come here to home and hit the increase or decrease chart size. And someone says always I come back in Excel 2003, you could increase or decrease the font size of everything. And I’ve never heard of that and Roger is “Oh yeah, you just click on the chart to choose the whole chart.” And then when you hit increase or decrease, look at that it increases all the text, the legend, the access labels. And as we keep increasing we’re going to get larger and larger numbers making the chart plot areas smaller and smaller, and smaller. It’s kind of a cool trick there and I realize you could do that, pass now along.
