How to Increase Your Computer Start Up Speed
Hey. What’s up Youtube? It’s your PC help here and welcome to another HD tutorial. In this video I’m going to show you how to increase the startup speed of your computer by disabling programs in your computer that you don’t need.
So, open the Start menu and go to Run, open and type “msconfig and you hit Enter. And then you should get a box like this, System Configuration Utility. Go all the way to that Startup tab and click on it and then you’ll see a bunch of these. Now up here, expand the Command tab so you can see what all the processes are.
And then what you want to do is disable the ones you don’t need. So if you have stuff like MSN Messenger or Adobe products, you don’t need that stuffs to start it up with your computer. Let’s see, all those I don’t need and those I’m pretty sure do need.
So once you’re done with that, just hit Apply. And if you get this message, it says “An acces denied error was returned while attempting the changes service. You may need to log on using an administrator account to make these specified changes” Don’t worry about that. It’ll always say that if you do this. Just hit OK, and then OK and OK.
And then it will say “System Configuration: You must restart your computer for some of the changes made to take effect” You can restart now or exit without restart. I will do that. And the next time you restart your computer, you will get a message when you first turn on your computer saying that “The Changes Have Been Made” just hit OK. And then, yeah.
So, that’s. Thanks for watching this video. Please comment, rate and subscribe.
