If you’d like to enter a character or group of characters that are either superscript or subscript into your Dreamweaver document, you can do so without actually having to enter any code. So to do this, go ahead and click in the design view portion where you would like that those characters to be inserted that you want to be, to be subscript or superscript.
Go ahead and go up to the insert menu, then go to tag and you want to go down here, click on your HTML tags if necessary and scroll down and mind of you scroll down here and you’re looking for sub for your subscript and sup for your superscript. So go ahead and select which ever you want to use, click on insert and its going to ask you now for the content, so what do you want to be subscript.
So I’m going to go ahead and just type in here for example purposes, subscript. I’m going to click on okay, I’m going to then click on actually I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to do a superscript one now. Click on okay, now I’m going to click close and notice that over on my properties pane I have this refresh now. I can go ahead and click on refresh and as you can see I got my subscript and I got my superscript.
Now, if you look up at the code if next time you’d like to do this with code, it’s really simple you simply have your sub tag for you subscript, your sup tag for your superscript and then you simply have to close out of those codes when you want to stop your sub or your superscript.
