You can add many kinds of applications to your Blackberry including Facebook, Yahoo Messenger and XM Radio Mobile. To install an application, find the applications that are available for your Blackberry model by going to blackberry.com.
To do this, you will need to access your web browser. On your home screen, press the menu button. Go to your web browser which is represented by a globe icon. Press the trackball and your browser will load.
Once your browser has fully loaded, press the Menu key. Scroll to Go to and press the trackball, type in blackberry.com. Note that you do not need to type in the www for websites.
Press the trackball. Select the software tab at the top of the page. The page lists of different application categories. Select the category such as Stay in Touch to see the applications available for that category.
Once you decide which application you want, download it by highlighting the Download link and pressing the trackball. You’re taken to that application’s website in given detailed downloading steps.
For example, to install Facebook on your Blackberry, scroll to Download Facebook for Blackberry and press the trackball. You will then see Blackberry terms and conditions. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Press the trackball in the field next to I Accept to accept the terms and conditions. Scroll down to Next and press the trackball.
To download Facebook for Blackberry, press the trackball. A progress bar will appear to show you the status of your download. After the download is complete, from your home screen, press the Menu button, scroll through your Applications.
The Facebook icon represented by a lower case ‘f’ will now be on your Applications menu.
