Who does not have one of these big boys in their family room or living room? You know the big floor speakers for your stereo? These are old technology. Guess what? You can get really high quality sound for either your stereo system or your television set with these wonderful new smaller speakers. They are really, really great.
Here is what I like about them. You can hide them inside the wall. They do not have to be out in the open like the old speakers. How are we going to do that? It is really pretty simple.
First thing you want to do is go ahead and cut a hole in the wall for the speaker. You need to follow the instructions where to locate the speakers to get the maximum sound clarity. It is often covered in the instructions. One of the key points is to put the speaker just about ear level, or maybe a little higher than that.
What you want to do next of course is string the wire from the speaker to your stereo receiver. Now, you do not use just any speaker wire for that. You have to get specialized high impedance wire that you can often get where you buy the high quality speakers, and remember, sometimes that wire is directional. It has to go a certain direction from the speaker to the receiver, and if you get that wrong, you are going to get the quality of the speaker all messed up, and the sound will not be as good as could be.
Now, to install the speakers in the wall, here is what you should do. Go ahead and mark with a GO, take a drywall saw if you are using drywall. Cut the opening. The speakers generally come at a really neat mounting bracket that has little clips that you slide in the place. You go ahead and put the speaker in, wire it up.
Okay, all you have to do is put in that last screw. Put the speaker cover on. And you are finished. Oh, one more thing. We are going to crank it up.
