Hey guys iPod Touch 2gGeec and in this video I’m going to show you how you can finally successfully install LibUSB on a Windows Vista 64 bit operating system. It’s really easy as long as you follow my instructions all right. Now, remember you can always pause the video just make sure you follow my instructions all right. Now if you don’t follow my instructions you might end up having to do a System Restore or a back up so again make sure you follow my instructions 100%. So as you can see here in Quick Freedom it says LibUSB XP not installed and over here in my System information it says I have a 64 bit operating system. So what you’re going to do is download QuickFreedom if you have it already I’ll put the link in the right to the video description or I’ll put the link in the video description to the right. And this is the program used to un tagged jailbreak iPod touch 2g so you going to select jailbreak iPod and install LibUSB and then you’ll get this warning and you will say that you’re on 64 bit LS just say okay and you can exit QuickFreedom.
Now the first thing you’re going to do is actually you don’t even need to do that. I’m going to put a download link also in the right, in the video description and you’ll download this zip folder. You go and right click and select extract all and extract it to your desktop. Once you’re done with this you can go ahead and put that away. Now you’re going to get these three folders and this one LibUSB fix program. Now you’re just going to double click on that and you’ll get the same Window. You’re going to select open folder and then read me. Now this will also give you some written instructions on how to do it.
I will also be following this and just seen I have already done this why it works, I’ve just uninstalled LibUSB to show you guys. So first thing, you going to do is plug in your iPod which I already have done and then you’re going to open INF Wizard. So you going to quick this one right here in bold or in caps and you’ll get this and you’re going to select next and you’re going to select the Apple Mobile device USB driver. Next, next and you going to save it to your add hardware wizard that’s this folder and you are going to save it as my Setup.
Just like that you’re going to select save and it will give you this just select save and it will give you this just select finish. Then you’re going to do is copy this htwiz.cpl and then open start menu and press control v to Vista and select enter. Select continue if your user can control up pop up opens and you will get this add hardware wizard.
Now what you’re going to do is select Next, remove this, select next, install hardware that I manually select from the list, select next make sure that selected show devices like next and you’re going to select have disk. We’re going to select browse and you’re going it already should open up to this folder if it doesn’t just browse to it on your desktop it’s this one to add hardware Wizard and you’re going to select my Setup.
Just double click that and then what you’re going to do is select okay, next and next. Now you are going to let it go through this installation process. It shouldn’t take more than a minute to a minute and a half but I’m going to pause. So now once it says completing the add hardware Wizards select finish and now I will say you must restart your computer to apply this changes. You don’t need to just select restart it later. You can exit this help window and if iTunes will probably won’t pop up just popping for me because I haven’t configure that yet and then what you’re going to do is let me just make sure on this. You going to go on two step two so you’re going to select this install LibUSB folder or you could just select right here. Other one works. If a user can’t control pops up select allow, next, I accept, next, next, next and then install. You’re going to uncheck run test applications select finish. Then what you’re going to do is click run batch and I know if this pop up comes up just select yes and do a lot of thing until you see finish right there so you can go ahead and press any on your keyboard and will exit.
Now, it will say touch mobile always remain on and always leave watermarks on your desktop which is this the Microsoft Windows and all this stuff and like corners up top and you can get rid of that and I’ll show you in a minute. But now what you’re going to do is open up your start menu and select or type in cmd and you’re going to right click it, right here and select run as an administrator. For now the user can’t control Window pops up select continue and now you should see administrator right up here. Make sure you see that if you don’t open it, close it and open it up again. All right it’s important that you see that and now it says to just kind to follow the instructions here it says type in bcdedit.exc /settestsigningon press enter and I’ll save the operation completed successfully. You can close this and it says now enter and reboot. So you’re going to exit this and reboot your computer. I want to comeback once my computer has rebooted.
All right so after reboot just to make sure all your USB ports are working and going to start all programs and LibUSB 132 and in test program and now you should see all of your USB ports and all these numbers and names and everything and so as pretty much it its really easy to do and so I just plugged in my iPod touch and as you can see it says manufacturer Apple ink product iPod, this is popping up for it can configure items yet so to work in and if you want to get rid of all this water marks on your desktop open LibUSB fix, select install watermark fix and if the user can’t control window pops up, select allow.
You’re going to select whatever language you speak and you’re going to select this button and add to tcpip.sys and now it says after your pressing button okay, file and whatever will be changed, just click okay and it now says that the file had been successfully changed. Changed will take effect after Windows restarts. So thank you guys for watching that’s all you need to do to get LibUSB working on a Vista 32 bit Operating System.
