Male: It is another DIY Network, 10 Grand in your Hand quick tip.
John DeSilva: I’m John Desilvia don’t a pay contractor to install siding on your house, do it yourself. I know it sounds like a tough project, but it’s actually pretty easy.
This is one of those projects you usually see the door, but the truth is you can steal some tricks and do it yourself.
First off, I suggest making sure you have a source specifically designed for cutting sidings. Don’t do this; using a circular saw like this is a quick way to loose a finger.
Second, every good siding job begins with a level secured bottom rail, you’ll be working from the bottom up and you’ll need to get this piece in right.
Finally, make sure your rose is staggered, if you notice the piece is aligned up, you’ve mess up the project and need to make an adjustment.
By doing this project yourself, you’ll keep the cash in your hands and not in your contractor’s pocket.
