In this video we are going to replace the LCD screen of the Sony Erickson.
The first thing to do is remover the battery, then using a safe pry tool, run it along the side of the phone to unclip the clips, so you can release the top cover. There are several clips along this side and the top. Once you have unclip the clips, slide the phone forward and then release the top cover. We will start taking off the keypad.
The next stage is to remove the LCD screen. This is clipped in with several clips, two at the top and two in the side. You can just pry this open and remove. The top left one seems to be a little bit more difficult, but this will also unclip.
Once released, it is just kept in place with a clip, so you can pop this up and take the LCD screen up. It is now ready to fit the new screen.
The first step for installing a new screen, is to attach the screen to the phone with the top clip, put the top clip in place and gently push down, so it is attach. You can then put the screen in, attach on the clips along the side and at the top. You may find it easier to use a soft pry tool to help you some of these clips into place.
The next step is to put the cover and keypad back into the phone. Press the keypad in the cover and then coming from the button of the phone, clip the button clips into place and then follow around with the rest of the clips on the side and the top of the phone and place the battery back in and the back cover, and then you should be able to turn your phone back on and have a new working screen.
