I am down with the floor right. This is a typical Cincinnati basement floor. Concrete and as you all know, if you are going to finish your basement, it is pretty tough to deal with these surfaces. Would it not be nice to have a nice wood subfloor? This is what you need if you are going to finish off your basement.
Imagine getting 2 x 2 pieces of OSB board that are meant to go down directly on a basement floor. I know what you are thinking, how is that possible? Check this out. Look at the underside, it has got this plastic matting that is very rigid and provides drainage channels in case water gets into your basement it can still find its way to the floor drain.
I tell you about what I really liked about this system is that it is friction fit. You do not nail it to the floor. You do not glue it down. They interlock each piece comes with a groove and a tongue and you just kind of top them together and the way you go.
If your basement floor is not level, that is not a problem. This product comes with a leveling kit. Here is the underside, remember, it has got this tough plastic fit or pads where you can get all of these spacers that actually fit this things perfectly and you can see how depending on how at the level of the floor is, you just keep adding spacers to get each panel leveled. It is that simple.
Remember, this is not intended to be a finish form material, it is just a subfloor that is going to be down in your basement area and you can put regular carpet or tile or any other finished surface on top of it.
