Male: It is another DIY Network, Man Cave’s quick tip.
Jason Cameron: Installing an interior window can be a fun DIY project. So is in process of cutting this piece out for the window to go in. He’s already got the other side cut. Now this side is getting cut. You set the depth of the blade for the thickness of the material. So he’s just cutting the material we were taking out which is this paneling right here. Step at time, we don’t want to rush things like this. You always want to check to see what is going on inside the wall because whenever you start cutting with the blade, there is no turning back if you cut a wire, you cut a pipe; you really got problems.
Once your main piece has been removed from the wall, you then want to assess your support and make sure you’re not cutting any lower bearing beams. Making appropriate cuts; create your jams, slide in the plexi glass and then install blocking on both sides to hold the glass in place.
An interior wall window is great for home recording studio but can be useful in other applications as well.
