Michael: Well if your house is anything like my house, this is probably a pretty common occurrence everyday. I’ve got 3 kids that are putting stuff on the floor pets running around and all types of things. And if your house is like my house, you probably got 2 options, one you sweep it up into a dust pan or you do what lazy people like me doing just sweep it under a rug and hope they get it later.
Well here in this house we’re doing something totally different. We have an installed vacuum system throughout the whole house. And here in the kitchen on our hard surfaces is very easy to use. We sweep it up like we traditionally do with a dust pan and then just turn on the system with your toe. The nice thing you just sweep it underneath your cabinet. But it doesn’t stay underneath the cabinet. The vacuum system actually takes it in to a different part of the house. Let’s go take a look. Actually everything’s pulled right out to the garage where we have the power unit. And Tony, I see the pipe over here on the side where the dirt’s coming in to the unit. What happens inside of here?
Tony: That’s right Michael, the dirt comes into the vacuum chamber and there’s a cyclonic action going on inside the vacuum chamber and all the large pieces drop out immediately to the bucket.
Michael: Okay, and there’s the bucket, easy to take off isn’t it?
Tony: And it shows all the cereal that you vacuumed at this morning.
Michael: Okay and what’s this hanging down?
Tony: This is the permanent filter that never needs to be changed. It’s made by gore-tex fabric and it filters down to 3/10 of a micron. The air that comes through the filter goes through what we call our bypass motor into the muffler and comes out right here.
Michael: Okay and you’re actually exhausting inside the garage. It’s so clean that you don’t have to take it outside the house?
Tony: That’s right. No outside venting is required with this unit. We install special central vacuum inlets, one inlet for every 750 square foot of living space. The inlets of the pipe to the power unit along with special level of wiring that allows you to turn the power unit on at the hose handle when the hose is plugged in.
When you use a conventional vacuum, it pulls the dirt up into the bag and the bag doesn’t filter as well keeping a lot of the dirt and allergens in the room. Thus, dust mites and other pollen allergies are reaching epidemic levels in US homes. One of the reasons is because since homes are currently built so tightly allergens don’t have a way to get out. The central vacuum system takes it completely out of a living area to a power unit.
Michael: The systems come with a power unit, inlets and piping convenient tools. A number of attachments are available even one for a computer keyboard. For more information on Beam Central Vacuum Systems and locate a dealer near you, visit BeamVac.com.
