Now a door could just be a door, it could be something amazing. These look like solid wood doors, but they're not. They're hollow core with little bit of molding. Watch this. It is unbelievable.
So the great thing about this project is doors come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, heights and widths. So when you choose your molding make sure you just kept in the right scale. Then the molding we chose has an little bullnose and a little scallop. And it's going to really complement well with the molding that's already on the door.
Now you might think I'm crazy trying to do this in here, but I want to prove is that you can do this project just about anywhere. It can be done completely inside. So save this one for a rainy day. Now here is a deal, we've undercoated this, so that when we put a topcoat on, we're actually going to put a topcoat on the molding and the door. What that'll do, is it'll seal the transition between the molding and the door and so it's going to like at one piece.
Now I am going to give you a little tip here that you really want to remember and that is make sure your nails are just the right length. These doors are only about an inch-and-three-quarters thick, that means if you have a nail that's too long what it's going to do is penetrates through the hollow core door and shoot it out at the other side.
Okay, nice and straight tight and look at the time. Oh! Half an hour. I'm going to roll the door and get a nice even coat. Then I'm going to come along with the brush and do bigger broad strokes. Then the whole thing will blend together. Trust me it makes a big difference in the end.
No, flat plain boring doors in this house. Now they're all stylish, classy, and very well presented and you know what, all this came in at about $98. Do this at your home , I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
