Do you hear this? Everyone recognizes that sound. It’s the sound of tens of thousands of gallons of wasted rain water running of your roof each year. Not only does it run off harm our environment by bringing pollutants from cities and town into our local rivers, lakes, and oceans but it is water that you could actually use whenever and wherever you needed it.
By installing the Rain Reserve diverter system you can easily divert rain water from your roof into a storage barrel for future use on your gardens and lawns. Here’s how it works. First, the rain water from your roof travels through your existing down spout and enters the rain reserve diverter. Debris is separated from the water and continues out the down spout. The debris free water is then diverted to an outlet to storage tin. A high flow sprinkler that’s natural pressure and gravity take over then water can then be dispersed through out your landscape.
Unlike other systems, once the barrel is full, the water will actually back itself up toward the tubing back into the diverter where it has been redirected to the down spout away from your house.
You can install the Rain Reserve diverter into your existing gutter system in four easy steps. First, modify the gutter down spout to insert the diverter system. Attach the rain reserve diverter to your down spout, modify your storage tank with the tools provided and connect the diverter. Use the kit spigot to produce high flow pressure to a hose, bucket, or watering can.
This is the Rain Reserve difference. Other rain harvesting products may collect water but that is where their similarities end. From overflowing barrels causing muddy lawns and walkways to expose in stagnant water attracting mosquitoes and algae to an array of parts and pieces arriving at your doorstep from overseas manufacturers. These products are just missing the mark and when it comes time to use the water, you’ve worked hard to collect. They often fall short providing you with only about three gallons of water in it and flow that is not conducive to any type of practical use. We have developed the Rain Reserve product with a focus on solutions for both our costumers and for the environment.
When you purchase a Rain Reserve, it comes with everything you would need to begin diverting your rain water into a close barrel system. From the installation tools to the adaptable fittings which are all made in the USA. The Rain Reserve concept is simple yet is a result of highly evolved engineering and design.
It works like this. The rain reserve diverter is incorporated into your existing down spout and then when it rains, the water is diverted from your down spout through the diverter and an attached hose and into a closed barrel or tank.
By using the materials provided in the diverter kit, you will ensure tight seal both for the water enters the barrel and where it exits via a high flow spigot. You can see that while the rain water is diverted into the barrel debris and overflow or allowed to continue through the down spout as they normally would.
The rain water is then available for use how ever and whenever you need it and the high flow spigot ensures you can do just that by allowing up to ten gallons a minute of uninterrupted water flow or attach a succor hose and slowly and efficiently water your lawns and gardens. And if you are a gardener, rain water is the ideal nourishment for your plant. It’s chemical free, naturally soft, and nutrient rich.
Your water conservation efforts can look as good as they feel too. Some of our costumers have used lot as their paneling to create an easily accessible space that is mostly hidden from view. Others have created an amazing works of art using just paint and their own inspiration. Others have constructed beautiful and sculptural elements to bring attention to their personal conservation efforts and you can always let nature take its course.
Your rain water can be stored in above ground barrels or in tanks under your deck or patio. Some of their community keep their barrels completely out of sight, behind closed doors in their garage. You can store as much rain water as you like. Did you know that a thousand square foot roof produces 600 gallons of water in just a one inch rain storm? That’s 1,255 gallon barrels.
We invite you to be a part of the solution, the Rain Reserve solution today.
