Last week, we started a birthday project for my wife. She wanted to have this sink added in the laundry room. So we cut up a hole and now it is time to see if it fits. I think we are going to be in good shape. Perfect, check that out. But now, it is time to put the faucet in. If you can imagine, it is uncomfortable working inside this camera on my back so I have got a better idea, why do no we put the faucet on the sink before we drop the sink into place.
Installing a faucet on a stainless steel sink is not as hard as you might think. You really only need a simple tool, a channel lock pliers like this and some plumber paddy. The next step is to simply take the sink out of the cut out and place it on a beach towel that is sitting on top of the top. We want that there so we do not scratch the top.
As you get ready to install the faucet, check it for markings. Look for either front or back or color coding. Tops of the faucet cartridge is being either red or blue. It is time to insert the faucet through the holes. I have made sure that that hatch on the left and the faucet will be held in place so that you will not drop it.
After hand tightening the knots, it is now time to use the channel lock pliers to plunge this faucet into position. And make sure that the faucet remains centered in the holes as you tighten the knots. All that is left to do now, just hook up the water lines and the drain lines and we will be good to go. Happy birthday Cathy.
