…to configure this widget.
Now, you can play around with the settings here for instance. I do not want it 180 white, the sidebar on this particular things, any 140. You can decide whether to show the screen names or not, I am going to say no. You can say whether it is full size image or half size, I like lots, I am going to stick on half size and I am going to stick as a maximum of 10. You can also change what it says at the top of the widget here where it said recent readers. I am going to change it to recent visitors. They can also change the colors but remember for instance, if you change the color of the heading, which I am going to do here, I am going to change the heading to blank. It is the actual text. Do not forget to also change the header area as well. I am going to change this to blue. The button bit as well I am going to change, not blue, white. So you can play around with the colors here. I also changed the link color. It is like dark blue.
Once you have done that, click on Preview and Get Code. You can always come back and make more changes. So you can play around with it to get it how you want. And all we then need to do is if we hit Control A, it will highlight the whole of that and I can then copy that and if I am now going back to my blog, this time, I do not want to edit the header, I want to edit the sidebar. I need to decide where by in the sidebar I want this to appear. I am going to put it above the calendar. This is an easy way of finding something in the sidebar, we are going to look for the word calendar. So we will go to sidebar and once that comes up, we need to scroll through this to find the calendar and I think the calendar is quite wide down. It is after the categories, it is after the themes, drop down, link’s list, there it is, the calendar.
Now, the bit above the calendar is to get link’s list. Now, this tends to each of these items have an ending text such as UL or LI. Now above that calendar, there is an ending text where to get link list which is front slash UL. So I am going to go just after that, hit a couple of extra line breaks and paste it in here. The important bit is not put it between any of these angle of brackets because then you potentially going to mess up the code. If you are worried about messing up the sidebar at all, copy all the code that you have got in here first into a text pad and save it so you will always got some thing to go back to. That way, you are not worried about messing things up. You can always get back to it. So simply click on the update button as I just did there. Now, we have updated the blog, if we go back to the blog and actually click on refresh, we should know hopefully. See, recent visitors.
Now this blog is brand new and nobody from my blog log has actually gone and visited it yet, hence, they are being nobody shown. If someone from my blog log had visited, we would have icons like this. When you do set up an account with my blog log, set up an image as an avatar. It is so much better to see images not on these blank ones. You can see people you recognize, who visited your site as well. This is a fellow internet marketer Nelson Tim, another internet marketer Randy Smith. So a couple of people I know who visited the blog.
That is how easy it is to add your site to my blog log and add this particular widget. This video is on Mat4.com Videos, as many other videos to help you getting the most. I feel the blog. Hope you find this useful. Thanks very much.
