How to Jailbreak 3.0 Firmware on iPhone
Hey guys, what’s up? David here IPT 2G geek and I have a jailbreak tutorial for you guys. Now, I’m sorry if the quality on this is really bad and everything. I’m actually in Las Vegas right now for some basketball tournaments. And I’m bringing in my equipment but I didn’t realized that jailbreak just came out today for the iPod touch first generation, second generation, the original iPhone as well as the iPhone 3G. Now, there is no jailbreak currently to the iPhone 3GS. Guys, if you’re using—if you’re unlocked that the Yellowsnow don’t do this yet the iPhone Dev-Team will come out with a software called Ultrasnow which you will then use.
So what you’re going to have to do—all the links on the video descriptions to your right—what you’re going to want to do is download this Redsnow file. Now, Redsnow works with all of those four devices that I’d just set. So what you’re going to do is you’re going to open up Redsnow and again, make sure that your device is connected and make sure it’s on Firware 3.0. all right, this is what it works for version 3.0. So you’re going to see welcome to Redsnow, you don’t need to read all that just follow me guys. You're going to select browse and that’s going to ask you to browse for your IPSW. I’ll have all the links for those also in the video descriptions to the right. So you’re going to open that up and you’re going to use the one for the device that you’re using. All right guys, make sure you do that as well.
So now, it says, IPSW successfully identified so up next it will start preparing the jailbreak data. And once it’s done you’ll see it will ask you to select the step to install, install Cydia Arcade. It’s very important so I’ve already check for you. So go ahead select next. Now, what you’re going to want to do is turn off your iPod or your iPhone and make sure it’s plugged in to the computer again. First, make sure it’s plugged in so the computer. All right, so now we’re going to go ahead and turn off the iPod or iPhone whatever you’re using. So select the power off. Make sure it’s 100% off guys as well as plugged in. It has to be plugged in first. So once it’s done you’re going to select next, hold down the power button for two seconds as it says right there. Without releasing the power button hold the home button for I think it was 10 seconds. And now, without releasing the home button release the power button and keep holding the home button for 30 seconds. All right, guys, that’s what we’re doing right now. And your computer might beep a few times, it’s just because it’s recognizing that your device is plugged in or not plugged in or something like that.
So now, we’re just going to wait. All right so now, I’ve got an error. So what we’re going to do is it’s off again we’re going to try to go through this again. Oh wait a minute, there you go, it’s jailbroken. It’s jailbroken guys all right. So just wait for all this to finish up and you should get a white screen I want to mention that all right guys because I know a lot of you with previous jailbreaks got really nervous that you’ve got a white screen. That is meant to happen and as you saw it it’s meant to be flashing. That’s just part of it and like Quick Cone or some of the other versions it does say downloading jailbreak data with that little icon and if mean this is very simple. This, again, iPod touch second generation you could see the volume rockers front bezel back. All right guys, this is the second gen, it’s extremely simple and now it says it’s done, it’s rebooting as you can see got that little pinwheel right down there. So I’ll back once this is fully booted, all right guys.
Hey guys, David back again, my iPod has rebooted. All right, we’re going to slide to unlock and said have Cydia on here. There you guys go I know it’s blurry I’m really sorry about that guys but we do have Cydia on there now. If you want to install IC just go into Cydia and install it. And as you can see I do still have all of my applications so it’s still jailbroken, still got all my applications. I’m pretty sure I still have all my music yes.
