The next variation is called a body throw. You bounce the ball off from the different parts of our body. This is how it works. We will start it by bouncing things off the hand. Go back to two-ball juggling and starting with your right, say throw, throw, hit, catch. Instead of catching with my right, I am going to intercept it on the way up and bounce it as high as the regular pattern. Throw, throw, hit, catch. Throw, throw, hit, catch. Your right hand stays empty while you do the trick. Try it from your left. Throw, throw, hit, catch. While you are juggling the three balls, what it is really like is juggling two ball in one hand, just intercepting with the right hand. Try it with the other hand. Switch off, back and forth. Again, there is no secret to doing it right, just a lot of practice.
Try this, bouncing a ball as you snap your elbow open. With this trick, it is just a matter of getting the timing down and when to snap your elbow open. It works the same way as bouncing off the hand. I am going to start with the yellow ball. You might want to throw that ball a little bit higher when it is coming at the elbow for practice purposes.
Try bouncing up with one hand and the other and then off the elbow. Right, left, elbow. Try it off the knee. It is just a matter of getting your body used to the timing.
Another fun variation with three-ball juggling is to roll the ball off the top of your head. Practice with just one ball and find out where to place it so it rolls off into the other hand. Then go to two balls and try it. You will notice that as I snatch the ball with my right hand when it hits its peak, I do not wait for it to come down of the hand. I can go right, left, top of the head or left, right, top of the head with both times I snatch the ball with my right hand and place it on, let it roll down to the next hand. This is what it looks like with three. I am going to start with the yellow ball when it hits my right hand. I snatch it out of the air and on the head.
Then you can try it with your non-dominant hand. Back and forth. Or try a bunch in the row with one hand.
