Christine: At fist land tennis seems like an easy sport, throughout the ball over the net. But this will be mooted then that, especially when keeping score, it could be quite confusing. Hey welcome to watch mojo.com and I'm your host Christine and today we will be giving you an overview of how to keep the score in tennis.
So, there are three things to remember in tennis, there is a game, a set and the match. A game consists of a sequence of points played with the same player serving and it's won by the first player to have won at least four points and at least two points more then his opponent. The running score of each game goes from a love or zero, 15, 30 and 40 respectively, when each player is at 40 the score is deuce. At deuce the famous win by two points if they are up by one it is that player's advantage. A-game points increase in tennis whenever the player in the lead only needs one more point to win the game. Tumonology is extended to set point matches, match point and even championship, a championship point.
A set consists of the sequence of game played with service alternating between games ending when the count of games when needs certain criteria, typically a player wins a sets when he wins at least six games or at least two games more than his opponent. When each player won six games, the tiebreaker is played. A tiebreaker played under his separate set of rules allows one player to win one more game and thus the set to give the final sets score of 7-6.
Matches consist of an odd number of sets, the match winner being the player who wins more than half of the sets. The match ends as soon as the winning condition is met. Some matches may consists of 5 sets the winner being the first to win three sets well other matches are three sets the winner being to the first to win two sets.
