Welcome to the Flash Cleaning Care Broadcast. My name is Naomi Cleaver and I am going to be talking to you today about kitchens and dining spaces and how to look after them so you got the very best out of them. Now, kitchen dining spaces tend to get quite a lot of bashing around, you are cooking. You have got hot water, you have got knives, you have got heat. So you are going to be using materials that really need to stand up to that sort of punishment and either they need to be very, very hard wearing. All they need to be materials that develop wonderful patinas.
Now, stern is very common materials you use in a kitchen, by from floors and by from floors and countertops that it needs to be cared for very, very carefully. To begin with, you must make sure that your stern is sealed and that includes marble as well. If you do not seal it, you will get horrible stains in it and it will be very, very difficult to get those stains out. But ones your stone or marble is sealed, you then often need to maintain it but maintain it with a very gentle cleaning material, just something very gentle and just give it a gentle buff and that will keep it looking fabulous for years to come.
Another common material we use in the kitchen dining space is timber knife, got a lovely arm, glossy, honey colored timber continental pair and timber is a great material to use in both very traditional sort of rustic star occasion but also in a very contemporary kitchen like this one, but again it needs special care and attention. First of all, when you install it, you must make sure you have got the right sort of finish on it. Now this is varnished, I am a particular fun of Danish or it is very simple oil finish but what that means is that you do need to kind of resurface it every so often. Just too gentle sand and then roll on top.
And then of course while timber is hardwearing, it is not hardwearing when it comes to very, very hot pans. So do make sure you got a selection of trivets in which to put your hot pans. And then when it comes to maintenance, a part from the sanding which is kind of a special treatment you need to give to the timber service every one to two years. It is really not necessary to use anything really abrasive or harsh on the surfaces though. In fact the more gentle the better, flash cleaning care with ph neutral is ideal. You just us a little bit of that, little and often bit of a buff and these surfaces will last a very long time and it is beautiful for a very long time.
So there you have it, the more loving care you love it on your surfaces, the longer they love you. For more information, go to www.FlashCleaner.co.uk
