Do not bend your wrist like this man when you throw and uppercut, or as he says you will probably hurt your wrist. Your wrist should be almost straight in line with your forearm bending it very very slightly.

The negative comments here seem to me to be off track. If you are in a fight, this is only one of many options that might open to you. Learning various attack strategies seems to me to be a wise thing to do.
