This is working, I jig straight up, I was trying to catch a Calico and some Bonito swam through. There we got a little Bonito right here. That's not a bad size one. Again, just using that magic metal lite jig, we're going to ride up on the surface and a lot of people think Bonito aren't a good eating fish, but if you handle them right away, you get them gutted right away and bleed them, they actually are good at eating.
When you buy your canned tuna and the lower priced canned tunas is Bonito. I'm going to keep a couple of these for eating, that's Bonito, just wanted to look what they look like. So our fishing aboard the golf course today is one of our regular charters. Back in the corner here, my dad is fishing, we have some of our regulars around with us, Kevin, David with us today fishing the front side of the island, well which are the west end. Pretty good fishing, we've got legal Calico and legal Bonito first couple of cast. So we are going to make a couple more cast with this jig and show you how to catch them.
Here we go. Just kept working that jig, right at the same spot, the front side of the Island, and you see the gear I am using is a really light gear and that's what nice about the lite poly jigs, the magic metal lites is that you can work on light outfit. Now this is a nice Bass, legal Bass here. This is a nice Calico Bass. This is the magic metal lite jig and this is a MM5 and an anchovy color and he jumped all over this jig.
Now some of the people on the boat today are fishing sardines and anchovies, live squid, this is what we're trying to catch, nice legal Calico Bass and again using the magic metal lite jig and really light outfit rod. This is a brand new ugly stick custom rod, Dan Hernandez model, nice Calico Bass. There it goes.
