Hi! I am Steve Terrano and welcome to this edition of Body Performance. Today, I am going to give you some statistics and information about losing weight. I am going to tell, the easiest way to lose 10 pounds.
Now, we have talked about this in the last movie that the best diet to be on was a diet of foods you like.
But you simply ate the less of them and by eating less of them, that automatically created a diet because you are taking a fewer calories.
Now, I am giving you some statistics. One pound of fat is 3500 calories. So, you burn 3500 calories and you will loose a pound.
Now, you might want to write this down, 20 calories burned a day will be 2 pounds lost in a year, 30 calories burned in a day will be 3 pounds lost in a year, and so on and so forth.
100 calories burned a day will be 10,000 lost at the end of the year.
Why I am telling you this? Here is why.
Let us say you have three meals a day and you cut out only a hundred calories from each of those meals. That would be 300 calories you ate less by the end of the day.
Now, let us say you decided to walk 2 miles each day.
A mile should take you back in 15 minutes and a miles burn about 100 calories.
So, you walk those 2 miles each in everyday and you burn up 200 calories.
Add that to the 300 less calories you had from your free meals during the day and you are down 500 calories in a day.
Do that for seven days straight and you lost a pound, 2 months of that and you lost 8 pounds, do that for a year and you will loose 50 pounds.
Really simple but you got to do it everyday.
You got to watch what you eat everyday and you got to walk.
It is like brushing your teeth and changing your underwear. You got to do it.
