Hey, it is Vince DelMonte from YourSixPackQuest.com and I am bringing you a live video coaching lesson from the World Fitness Model championships.
Today, I would want to share with you my top secret fat loss secret. It has nothing to do with vibrating bands that jiggle your fat while you stand there half an hour. It has nothing to do with thousands of crunches a day. It has nothing to do with abs rollers or gazelles and it has nothing to do with detoxing your body, although that will help to some small degree initially.
My top fat loss secret is to start cutting your sugars. And again, sugars come in a variety of form.
You might want to be really aware of what kinds of sugars you are putting in your body. There are lots of hidden ones out there. You probably know the obvious ones like candies, sweets, pastries, doughnuts, anything with flour in it. Some of the ones that can sneak up on you are fruits, too much dairy, there is tinge of sugars in those foods. You also want to be really aware of anything that is packaged, anything that is boxed. Those things will also kill your quest for a six-pack.
A good rule of thumb if you want to get six-pack abs is when you go to a grocery shop, shop on the perimeter of the grocery store so you stick primarily with proteins, whole foods like fruits and vegetables. But again, you might want to keep an eye out on your fruits because there are hidden sugars in there as well that can add up. Once piece of fruit is not going to kill you, but it is when you are having three, four, five, six of them a day and that is going to spike your insulin levels. It is going to put your body out of fat burning mode. It can cause your body to store fat, so start really looking at what you put in your grocery cart, what you are putting into your fridge. It will be a huge, huge step.
That is personally one of my best pieces of advice that I can give you for getting six-pack abs and let me tell you, it is worth it.
Just a touch on fruits, I am going to—a lot of people might disagree with me and say, “Vince, you do need fruit” and you do, but to be honest, if you get enough fruits and vegetables, you will get plenty of vitamins minerals, antioxidants and fibers you’re your vegetables. You do not really need fruit. It is overly, overly estimated and if you are really, really serious about getting your six pack, you would need to really consider cutting back on them.
You know, an assortment of fruits are really good for you, a variety of colors. But stuff like kiwi, bananas and grapes, they are high in sugars so you are getting too much of them. It will add up. So be aware that everything that goes in does eventually reflect on the outside as well, so stick to, if you can, primarily vegetables to get your minerals, fibers, vitamins and water as opposed to fruits and that will be a huge step.
