I am going to take advantage of the heat of the day and do some pond maintenance. Any successful Farm culture garden includes some aqua culture. I have around a 7,000 gallon pond here. Which I have stock with some native sun fish and that will give me about 300 lbs of fish a year.
From my pond maintenance, what I am going to do is I am going to put some BT. This is going to kill the mosquito larvae and the Chinese muff larvae.

Now, I am going to use some Barley Straw Pellets and what this is going to do its going to raise the PH level of our water. Making it really good environment for our fish.

Next, I am going to use some beneficial bacteria. These last two products are both from the Microlet Corporation and they are amazing to get this crystal clear water in your pond.

The beneficial bacteria is going to seed my filters and get rid of all those harmful nitrate anemones. Smells like rotten eggs but that actually meant it is good. We got some beneficial bacteria.
So, now I have to clean my filtering fountain system, just going to jump right in.

The fountain that I have has a filter attached that houses the pump. I also have a biodynamic filter. The water is pumped over the lava rocks. The lava rocks clean the water by neutralizing it. I hose down my filters on my lawn which help fertilize it.

My pump filters needs to be cleaned out regularly when they are in use. I am done here for the day just in time before the rain starts. So, thanks for watching, I am Patti the Garden Girl for FarmersAlmanac.com.
