I’m Yogi Marlon and I’m the enlightened cook. I’m here talk to you about salad dressings. Folks, this is really serious, only a fast food restaurant could make a salad dressing and a salad just got more calories than the big mack. Come on, we are going to use all of these fabulous greens on a salad and what you are going to do? Pour a milk shake on it, store about dressings not any better, check the label, high fructose, saturated fat, nitrates, chemicals, you don’t need that. I’m going to show you how to make three dressings in three minutes that you can make at home. So, here we go. Our first super easy dressing is Balsamic vinaigrette. Folks it doesn’t get easier in this, there is equal parts balsamic, extra virgin olive oil and what gives it some emulsion or power not separate this just a little bit of mustard. Serve with a fork, let it break up in there and there you go; that’s number one.
Alright, next step, Russian dressing doesn’t get -- Russian get easier folk. Again, equal parts a little bit of all natural Mayo and a little bit of Heinz chili sauce; I like using that a lot better than ketchup. A little bit of Horseradish, cream style or regular you are fine, and I fill a gallop in there, if you like spicy put a little more and let’s get juice out of it, roll your lemon, give it a slice let’s strain seeds, so we don’t have to pick them out. There we go. Alright, put juice a half a lemon in there and then I would like to stir it with a fork as it keeps the ingredients mixed up, really quick, that’s it.
Alright, last one we are still under three minutes, I got a little bit water in there and I pour in some plain yogurt and I’m going to add lemon juice and you think how interesting, look at that dish, you know what? This is delicious on salads, it’s got lots of acidophilus lots of stuff in there, it’s really good for you and it’s thin enough that it’s going to mix really well. You want to get fancy? Put some herbs in it and chives will be great, little bit of dill that would be really nice too. Alright, so there you have it; three dressings under three minutes no nitrates, no high fructose, no chemicals and salad dressings are truly is good for as the salad itself. I’m Yogi Marlon come on back and join me for another episode real soon. Bye, bye.
