How to Make Aioli Garlic Bread
Hello this is Chef John form Foodwishes.com with a quick and easy garlic bread recipe. As promised I told you when I have leftover homemade garlic aioli, there it is, I like to make garlic bread with this. So I just take a piece of just regular French bread baguette, it’s not stale. So it’s nice and soft. I don’t like to use stale bread for garlic bread, you use fresh bread and then I’m going to put on a generous spread of our homemade aioli. And you want to be really saturated so I like to spread it in, smooch it down and then give it another spread. Then what we’re going to do is we’re going to roast this just like this with a little bit of parmesan and to me that it makes really delicious quick easy garlic bread surprisingly mild, okay. So listen to me now and feel me later.
If you want really strong garlic bread, you need to crust or chop-up a couple cloves of fresh garlic and add it to this topping all right. I like a saddle garlic bread when it roast when I bake this right now, it’s going to cook the garlic and it’s going to sweeten it. It’s not going to have that sharp raw kind of aioli garlic flavor which is really intense, much, much sharper peppier garlic flavor. So this is going to be very mellow, so you adjust all right. I warned you, don’t say aioli it’s not garlic enough.
All right so I’m going to put a couple of tablespoons of grated reggiano parmesan and it’s going to go in a very hot oven, 450 for about 10 minutes and why I like hot oven, I want the edges of the bread and the cheese to kind a caramelize. I want to stay soft in the middle, soaked with that delicious aioli and there it is. What a beauty come out. You want to make that, don’t you?
So if that’s your excuse to make the aioli, go for it. I just do when I have leftover aioli. And to finish off very, very recommended some coarsely chopped fresh Italian parsley and not just beautiful although it is beautiful, but really that’s their fresh parsley does counteract garlic. So it freshens your breath, it’s really healthy for you and it’s just a great combination. So give that a try, all the ingredients are on the site and as always, enjoy.
