Hey there! Before starting this video quick shout-out to all my subscribers, thank you guys for subscribing and I do hope you would like my future videos including this one. So I’m just going to quickly show my subscribers, all right. And also I advice you guys to check all my YouTube partner here, DeadlyFury16’s. He has some awesome tutorials that you might want to learn from, so on with this video. Basically I’m just going to show you how to animate your wallpapers. So whatever your wallpaper is, just drag it to your program here and I’m using by the way GIMP which I had already discussed in previous videos.
So GIMP is like a Photoshop or well it’s like the Photoshop CS2, CS3 whatever, and the only difference is well it’s for free. So anyway, I had already dragged my wallpaper to the programs, so I have it here. Then you all you have to do to make this animated is to go to filters then go to animation and then you will have a selection of animations you want to use. So I’m going to use waves like. So it’s really up to you on how you want your picture to look like. So I’m going for the default values, so number three and six all right, so I’ll just click okay, wait for it to be done.
So when it’s done, a Window will popup showing what you’ve just created like so. I think this is all right and it is—well it suits my picture because it is a picture for frogs, so the waves here is like he’s going on the water and we are below him like so I don’t know. I think it’s pretty cool. You save this, save as and you save it as a GIF file. So I’m just going to go with waves.gif, all right and click save. And then export file, window will show up, so save as animation, convert to—so click this, click this then click export, wait for your picture to be done in a minute.
So enter list, GIF comment, look forever so that it doesn’t stop moving and it’s all up to you basically, and just hit save, and we have our GIF or animated wallpaper. Here we go. So I think that’s pretty cool. You can actually turn any picture or photos into your wall paper. All you have to do is resize it to whatever your screen size is to have a good wall paper, so it won’t be blurred or anything likes that. So this is my wall paper, so I’m just going to show you how I can use it. So I’ll just go to properties, click desktop. I’m going to browse for the waves GIF file, here we are, open, and then click apply. So we just wait for our wallpaper to load and there we go. There’s your animated wallpaper and it’s all done with the use of the freeware GIMP.
So you have other animations you can choose from and it all depends on you and how you want your wallpaper or basically your pictures to look like. So I do hope you enjoy that and thanks for watching this video.
