Welcome back to fixmyrecipe.com. Chef Billy Parisi here and as usual, we got another recipe comes from John Barron of Kansas City, Missouri.
He’s having a little trouble making some Asian Chicken Wraps. He’s got a lack of vegetables and not a lot of flavors. John, this isn’t a good thing because let me tell you something Asian food is known for its robust powerful flavor that simply sting your taste buds and your tongue. Don’t worry John, we got you covered right here.
Okay John, first things first. Get rid of that vegetable oil and let’s add a little sesame oil. Let’s get that Asian infusion going right away. Let’s get our pan smoked and hot, simply add your oil. John, in the mean time let’s get our chicken that was cut into those nice thin strips. Add a little grill seasoning to them and we’re simply going to add it right to our saut? pan.
All right John, let’s pound this Asian wraps full of flavor. Follow me, here we go. Some nice, beautiful, fresh cut ginger, some scallions, and my personal favorite of course garlic, some gorgeous red bell peppers, and some cabbage, little carrots mixed in. Let’s simply saut? the rest of the stuff of and add a little more season to this bad boy.
All right, you want to cook that garlic and ginger all the way through so be a little patient. It may take a couple of minutes okay.
John, you complain about having no flavor in your Asian wraps, here’s your big solution right here, a little bit of plump sauce. We’re going to simply add it right into our mix. Okay John, now that are plump sauce has been cooked in for about two minutes, we’re going to add some fresh herbs. Now, your recipe only calls for fresh basil. Let’s add a little cilantro, a little bit of that lemon flavor right into our mix.
Okay John, here’s another ingredient that’s going to add a lot of flavor. It’s called fish sauce. To be completely honest with you, it’s probably the worst smelling thing I’ve really laid my nostrils on but this can provide a lot of flavor for our Asian wraps. Be ever so careful when you’re pour it in.
All right John, now that our sauces and seasonings are all infused in our nice Asian Chicken Wrap, let’s simply wrap it up in a little bit of butter leaf lettuce.
All right John, these are just so tasty there, just feeding my taste buds. Don’t forget the couple of the tricks I showed you. Try that fish sauce, use some plump sauce, and simply load that Asian Wrap full of vegetables. You’re going to get a ton of flavor with all those and I think you’re going to be very satisfied with our final product. Come back tomorrow to fixmyrecipe.com and see who else needs a little fix. I’m going to get back to these Asian Wraps. Messy but absolutely worth it.
