Alright, let’s start with the ingredients. Okay I don’t mean to bushes product, but I used bushes they are my favorite, and it’s a 55 ounce can, half pound of diced bacon and a remember frozen bacon dices easier than thought. Half pound of lean ground turkey you can use beef if you prefer. 114.5 ounce can of crushed tomatoes which are about two cups, one half pound of brown sugar or little more than a cup, half a table spoon of sea salt.
First I like to spray my crock pot with cooking spray for easy clean up, next I add the beans to the pre-heated crock pot. Okay now let’s cook off the bacon, onion and the ground turkey. First I add the bacon, next I add the onion after stirring the onion its time to stir in the turkey. After cooking on high about five minutes the meat is browned when you use lean ground turkey you have very little fat left in your pan. Now its time for the tomatoes. Okay stir this for about a minute and then its ready for the crock pot.
Finally stir in the brown sugar and your sea salt. I’m going to cover, let this cook on high for about four hours, after four hours the beans have cooked down to a rich smoky master piece.
