Hi! I am Melanie form Layton Utah. And today, we are going to be making 15 minutes stroganoff. This is a great dish for your family in a fully up nice and hearty, keeps you warm and even the picky eaters love it.
I’ve already got my water boiling so I am going to add my egg noodles. Be careful not to dump in too much, you do not want it to splash all over you. Then I am going to get my meat browning here. When you are browning your meat, you can also use a steak—if you like, cut it in thin strips and brown it. You can also brown it with a little bit of oil or shortening. I prefer to eliminate that step just to keep a little bit healthier. Alright, our meat is just about done, so turn off your heat and we are going to drain it to all that grease in there. I’m just going to dump that thing, alright.
Now, turn the heat back on in an over high heat now because we want to boil, we are going to add your water and your mushroom slices and we are going to boil that together. We are also going to add our onions soup mix and we will come to a boil. My noodles are done so turn off and drain them, drain them now. And I am just going to sit those for a minute until the soup is done. It is boiling I see now, so we are going to add our sour cream, makes it nice and creamy, a smooth creamy texture and let that boil for just a minute, mixing it well. Now that we have got that mix do, we are going to add a two tablespoon of flour to help thicken it up then we are ready to go.
That is great I love the onion.
