Eating Low with Amy
Your guide to low carb, low California, low fat cooking!
Hi! This is Amy and welcome to Eating Low. My friends listening from out of town and we’re going to eat spaghetti but, she’s going to have pasta and I’m going to have the spaghetti sauce on the chicken. So we’re going to make the sauce first, and about just Hunts Tomato Sauce and I’ll put all into the pan and then a half cup of water to the sauce and then we will going to add tomato paste just like maybe a cubic scoops that’s thickens it up. Now we have to sweeten the sauce with Splenda this is why a lot of spaghetti sauces have too many carbs is that they put sugar in it.
So instead we are going to put just a pocket of Splenda and a little bit of basil ,a little bit of parsley and I went too crazy, now prior making this it’s just me, it’s a little whacky here because I’m cooking for more than just myself, a little bit of oregano too and then we’re just going to let that simmer for like an hour just to get all the flavors mixed together.
Let’s mix quite of it and then we can both have the same kinds of meal without me eating pasta and then if she wants chicken she can have chicken but, otherwise she’ll have her pasta and I’ll have her chicken so we’re going to let this simmer for one hour and I’ll come back and what show you what else we’re going to do.
My friend was Nathan and I have to wash my chicken breast that we got and she cut all the fat off and I swear in the next video I will handle the chicken and touch it because I have sticking all over this but, we wash the chicken, cut the fat and cut a little bit of the spaghetti sauce down in the bottom of the tray and put the chicken breast on top.
As you can see we’ve got the thin cut kinds and I’m try this and see if we can see like better and the big tuffie chicken breast. So, now we’re going to add tomato sauce to the chicken and I’m just going to put this a little bit and cover the chicken up and there are carbs in the tomato sauce but, just watch how much you’ve put, in here I’ll post the nutrition for this but, the less sauce you need is on the chicken, the less the carbs will be. These aren’t too bad of course servings go.
So put the sauce on top and I’ll get a different spoon and I’ll even it out a little bit and we’ll use the same spoon I’m using for my sauce because precisely because it will cause contamination going on.
So now, I’m going to add still a little bit of parmesan cheese from the top and then you can skip this up if you don’t want the parmesan cheese. I’m going to real line on it and I can add a whole lot just to make a little more of Calumet and if you wanted you can add maybe some more spices to it.
There’s already basil oregano, parsley, garlic pattern in the sauce so, I’m not going to add anything extra to the top and then I’ll just got just got put this in the oven. I mean I can start with 40 minutes and then check that and see how it goes and then if there is more time we’ll take it more time.
So he’s in there we going to give him 40 minutes and then we’ll check it until how it turned out. n So my chicken is done cooking. I didn’t end up giving in an extra five, ten minutes of the total cooking time as probably like 45 to 50 minutes. My friend made her pasta, she’s is the many penny and for the low spaghetti sauce on it and then I’ve got my chicken breast over here all in the pan. It is real juicy around the bottom of the chicken breast but, the actual chicken breast themselves got have some of the spaghetti sauce, kind of bake on but, the little bit of that parmesan.
So I’m going to taste it oh! I’m so exited really bothered of cutting meat and I can use my other pans and I’m going to taste it and see how it turned out. I like this one it’s got the spaghetti sauce and the parmesan you could add any seasoning as you want but, that was really simple and really easy and we can both have a similar meal so we all are happy.
Anyway I’m Amy and thanks for eating low.
