Jason Hill: Buffalo wings are one of the Americas favorite finger fruits. The traditional preparation are originated in Buffalo New York called for wings, vinegar base cayenne pepper sauce and butter. Today we’re going to put a twist on this classic recipe.
Hi, I’m Chef Jason Hill, buffalo wings are also commonly knows as hot wings, chicken wings or simply just wings. Hey, alright. I got to game to catch, so let’s get start on this quick awesome recipe.
First, I’ve now 20 chicken wings that are thawed and patted dry with the paper towel. Next, I season with kosher salt and some fresh cracked pepper. Next I take a cup of all purpose flour and a tablespoon of smoked paprika, mix the paprika into the flour. Now you melt one half stick of butter and a half cup of vinegar based cayenne pepper sauce. After the butter is melted remove from the heat. Now, I set my mini fire to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
I like to fry my wings in peanut oil, but you could use canola or vegetable oil if you prefer. Now I take the chicken dredged in the flour, shake out the excess, and add to the fryer. After 12 minutes in the frier, drain on paper towels. After all your wings are cooked, pour over the sauce and mix well. Serve these wings with our Buffalo chicken dip and celery sticks. Oh yeah, I almost forgot you are going to need a lot of napkins. Thanks for tubing in.
