Hello, this is Chef John from FoodWishes.com with the sweet hot mustard chicken wings. You are two minutes away from chicken wing heaven. This is just like regular heaven except you know people assumed this is crazy. I still have a cold as you can hear but the show must go on. So, here we go, heavy duty aluminum foil wrapped sheet pans, sprayed with non-stick vegetable oil. This is two pounds of wings. I want to spread those out. I'm going to give a little dusting of salt. Now, some people put the salt in the sauce, some people don’t put any salt. But I'm going to put a little salt on there. I'm going to put them in that in 450-degree oven for 20 minutes. While I do that I'm going to mix some Dijon mustard, regular yellow mustard, yes, you're allowed to mix those two together, honey all right a little salt, pinch of salt, a little black pepper and a generous dripping of very hot, hot sauce all right and then a little bit of cider vinegar. We’re going to whisk that together and that’s it.
All right, after 20 minutes, you're going to turn your wings because they're very sticky. So, if you turn them you get a nice little crust on there, all right 20 minutes later, let it cooked for 40 minutes all together. I want to dump close in my sauce and we’re almost done. So, what you're going to do is you're going to toss some of the big spatula and we got to do this in two stages. Okay, some people dump them right on the plate, it’s not correct. You have to give them time to soak in the sauce. So, give them a toss and let them sit for five minutes, all right stop eating them. Save some for the guest.
And then after five minutes all right, you're going to toss them again see they're still steaming, they're still hot and after that second tossing then you could put them on a plate and serve it. See—“Hey, try one, here have a wing” all right. Now, you know you can grab one of those which is kind of frustrating but that’s okay because you can make this yourself, so simple, so easy, so cheap and a perfect for your super bowl party. I'm tired of buffalo wings, sorry buffalo. I probably had 14,000 buffalo wings in my life and so I’m ready for a change. So this year, I'm doing hot sweet or sweet hot, mustard glaze chicken wings all right, I apologize for the voice but you know you still could understand what I was saying right? Go to the site get the ingredients and as always enjoy.
