How to Make Chickpea Pasta Soup
Hi I am Mac from Pasta-Recipes-Made-Easy.com very quick and recipe, Chickpea Pasta Soup, really easy. Very filling good for winter, first step of this recipe, we got a handful of the pasta leaves that are just rinsed and torn. We got the one garlic clove which maybe you can see here that is just peeled so not chopped at all. And I got an option when extra, optional eggs for eve. So my chunks of belly bacons, so you can throw it, actually you put those or in your cooking pan and you need some extra virgin olive oil on a medium heat up.
I am going to cook that I am not sure maybe five to six minutes just until the garlic and the bacon starts to brown that is step one. Step number two, this is nice and brown naturally it begin to go a lot softer and shrunk a little bit. So step two we got a tin of plum tomatoes, so if you can see there we go. Just for two people so we are going to put two plum tomatoes in here.
And there it is and we just going to fry this gently just for two or three minutes. After which they look soften – fry this to two or three minutes. After which they will soften and then we will just going to break them up with a spoon to create more of a liquid mixture. Step three, you can see we just crushed the tomatoes nice and liquidy and all broken up. Next step we are just bring back to a medium heat, I will take a tin of chickpeas, I am going to throw them all in there with the juice, with the water. And I just boiled the kettle so I am just going to fill the same can again; this gives a batch of more water. I am going to throw that in as well so that will be two cans with water and a can of chickpeas.
We are going to bring that to a simmer and when it is bubbling away quite nicely, we are going to have the pasta. So it just come to a boil nicely simmering, we got 150 grams of spaghetti or roughly six ounces for you American types. Well you can also use quebeti and any of the tiny pasta shapes. Check that in and we are going to cook it as per the pasta packet so in this case it is good for 10 minutes. And that will leave up some of the water and gives it a nice soup treats.
So we are pretty much there, pasta cooking time done, spring corn in there and mix around to make a nice and creamy. Pop it all there so that we can see that— make it as nice multicolored spaghetti that was a good choice. And there you have it, this is Chickpea pasta soup. So we added some crispy bread and obviously a nice glass of vino calypso.
