How to Make Chocolate Brownies?
Chef Minh “Sa” Chau!
Hey it’s Chef Minh again and today we’re making brownies. That’s right who doesn’t
love brownies. So on this bowl here I have two sticks of butter and I’m going to melt that
either way you want easy way microwave but if you don’t want to get all fancy use a
double boiler. Whisk it up and to that butter we’re going to add a half cup of cocoa
powder. You are going to whisk that up and it’s going to look like good chocolate. Don’t
eat it yet because, well it’s not sweet so that’s why we add 1 ¼ cup sugar. We’re going to
set that aside while we get our 3/8— we’re going to beat this with 2 teaspoons of vanilla
extract.
Now back to our chocolate we’re going to add a half cup of flour that’s how it gets you
know a little cakey texture of your brownies and we’re going to add our eggs. Now with
your rubber spatula maybe one bigger than mine, mine is a little baby size mix it in and
it’s going to look like that. Oh that’s nasty, but if you keep mixing it just like how I’m
doing it right now it’s going to look better and look like brownies. Now I’m adding a
pinch of salt— dash, not like a tablespoon but a pinch and mix in the well into the
brownies.
Now what you’re going to do with you’re baking pan is you’re going to take a
rectangular piece of was paper, fit it in to the pan and get some unsalted butter. I’m
serious, that’s going to taste nasty if it’s salty. Butter all sides everywhere and look at
this, doesn’t this look good. Now take the spatula that you had and spread it all around
the pan. If you want to know why I’m using this circular one, if you want to use the
rectangular one, the square one, it’s going to be little but I don’t have one.
So once you got that all spread around give it a little tap that eliminates any air bubbles
and we’re going to bake this in the oven at 350 for maybe 25 to 30 minutes, maybe a little
longer if you like it a little firmer. It’s going to look good, check it out maybe not touch it
to infer a little bit of this, it gets hot like that and here is a sample for my sister.
What? Lyer!
I’m Chef Minh “Sa” Chau, thanks for watching, I’ll see you next time.
