How to Make CD Ornaments
This is my CD ornament that’s going to add all the shine to your tree. You’re going to start with just this regular CD’s that you don’t use anymore. You can use ones to actually have things on the other side or you can use new ones that you just buy. And the fun part is CD and a DVD two different colors. This is going to be the base of the whole ornament. You’re going to start by drying your pattern on the back. I took inspiration from a mall key’s frost. So we’re going to cut out all these little tear drops spots in between .Wear your safety glasses, not that it’s just super dangerous but it’s never safe than sorry. So can take a good pair of scissors and you may take another one and practice a couple of times so you kind of to get the fill how you can work to see the DVD.
Now you can start to see in taking form. We can adjust the thickness if we want so whatever you’d like go to town on it. So I’m going to cut off all my sharp corners, so that way it’s not a dangerous ornament.
Now, this is a base of the shape and we’re going to start to add some other elements on top of it then I take a CD and cut it into pizza slices and just a little bit of craft glue on the back. And I tear it leaving just a little bit hanging over the side. The next step you’re going to do is just take some cards stock and cut it into a circle and then you’re going to glue that right into the middle. Just cover that right up. That wouldn’t be very fun if we just left it like that.
So what do you want to do is add more spark all. You can change the sizes up. You could add them the center, so this is one that I kind to clean up the edges, added to just the sparkle in the middle. Now, we need to figure how to hang it.
I’m going to take a string, do a little bit of tape. You could loop it like this. So now, you have a fabulous CD DVD ornament. Look you great that works.
