How to Make Edible Cocktails

Eric Greenspan: Hi, I’m Eric Greenspan Chef and owner of The Foundry on Melrose in Hollywood California where I’m bringing you your leisure style seeker. Edible cocktails so what is an edible cocktail you might ask, well were going to show you. with the help of Dan Bayha my present mixologist. Dan Bayha: One of our most popular drinks here at the Foundry on Melrose is called the Grape in the Cave and it’s a take on a cave cutter with some grape juice. We use grape base vodka equal parts cranberry juice and grape juice. To top that with some champagne, give it a shake to chill for over us and that’s the Grape in the Cave. Eric Greenspan: Now to take a drink like the Grape in the Cave and turn it with edible cocktail, I take the Grape in the Cave. I pour it to a shoot glass and what I take is frozen cranberries and frozen grapes put the champagne all over of it, you just take the champagne and you pour to the container and let it freeze over night and then once it’s frozen. You grate it and kind of pour it on top and that’s leisure seeker.
