How to Make Eggnog Grog

Speaker: Eggnog is a rich and delicious treat at any winter party. It dates back to Colonial America, and our first President George Washington was quite a fan. In a large sauce pan beat together six eggs, stir in two cups of milk, a quarter cup of sugar and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Cook this over low heat, stirring constantly, be sure to get in to the corner of your pan or else the eggs might curdle if it gets too hot. When the mixture reaches a 160 degrees, or when it is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, remove it from the heat.

Slowly add three quarters of a cup of bourbon and a third cup of dark rum, the alcohol is optional, but hey, it's a party. Next, stir in the remaining two cups of milk and a teaspoon of vanilla, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until it's thoroughly chilled.
