If your interests combined recycling and card making, this tip might be of interest to you. For one thing you’re going to recycle a calendar page, if you have a nice calendar page like this with a pretty picture on the back and you have a handmade card. This is a little shaker books birthday card that I’ve made.
I am going to use this calendar page to make an envelope for the card and it is a very good solution also if you have a card that just does not seem to fit into any of the envelopes that you can find.
So to make the envelope, you simply position your card in the calendar page and fold over on both of these sides. Fold this up and as you can see I’ve trimmed this in a V-shape for the sake of neatness or you can fold the top over and there should flop. I’ve already trimmed the V on the flops. So that is one card.
Here is a completed card that is ready to go. As you can see I’ve used an ordinary every label that I’ve printed out from the computer and the two, I’ve covered it up because it’s already dressed but the two is simply white paper that I’ve printed the recipients name on.
Obviously, you could use any kind of attractive paper that you want to recycle from gift wrap to make same pages to junk mail if there is anything else that you want to use. So if you’ve enjoyed this video, please visit my blog at ScrappingByDesign.com.
