Surprised the guest at your next party with handmade party favors, you think it sounds like too much trouble. Well think again all you need are few things you already have laying around the house, like say a pencil, a microwave and you can make really fun party favors like a candy filled pumpkin pouch or some really spooky soap that will make your party the envy of all your friends.
First up, let’s get started on our pumpkin pouches, they looked like plain little pumpkins but actually inside of this crepe paper is stuff with candy and fun little toys. Get sheet of crepe paper and I cut this into strips that are about nine inches long about five inches wide.
I’m going to fold it into thirds, you got to fold it up then I’m going to singe the bottom, I’m going to take some string and I am going to tie it up, here we go. Then are going to turn it right side out and you want to be kind of careful because you know, it is crepe paper so it’s not super sturdy and then you can see on the bottom there, see it’s looks like a cute little pumpkin button already.
And so now we have our little cup and it is ready to fill with sweet treats which we have over here. I’m going to start with one of this cute little festive purple candies, next up, no pumpkin pouch would be complete without a none striped centipede inside of course. And then a yummy to my tummy gummy frog. Then I’m synch the top up and I am going to use forest tape to synch it off.
So I’m just turning the cover this orange part up here and kind of make it look like you know the top little pumpkin. Wrap it all the way around, next up I’m going to use our little pipe cleaners and then this is where our pencil comes in. We are going to use this pencil to wined around our pipe cleaner and then we’ll our pencil out and them I’m going to stretch this out a little bit and it will become a little vine.
And I’m going to do it on the other side and there you go, you have you’re little pumpkin pouch set them over here with this other little friends and then on Halloween this are great to give up to trick or treat, or make awesome party favors that everyone going to love. And all you have to do is pin them out kids are going to rip it open very easy and there their prices inside.
Next on our list of fun party favors we have spooky soap to make just like this little spider guy. First thing you want to do is hit the craft store and you will find giant blocks, old glister and soap. Just like this one, already sectioned off for you to make it really, easy.
So what I’m going to do is, I’m going to cut this up I need about two for each bar of soap I’m going to make. And what I’m going to use is my mold is a little unexpected. It is a silicon muffin tin you can see it’s kind of flexible, I’ve already filled some up, so let me tap this last one there. Get it there and then I am going to pop it onto the microwave, pop it in, at 30 and just let that melt.
In the mean time I’m going to show you some of the fun little do-dad you can put inside. Like I showed you we have little spiders you can use. We have a fun little fingers puppet that’s impartial to myself because they're kind of hilarious. You can even goggle inside, so the fun part were going to pick our toys I’m going to go for a little spider first.
You want to put him good side down and belly facing you because when you pop this out of the muffin trays, the bottom now is what eventually going to be the top of your soap. So were just going to put it right in and he sinks right to the bottom perfect. Our friend the finger puppet, we put him in, you’re going to use a dough and you’re going to fill them up a little bit. So he’s kind of weighted down and then you’re just kind of set it to the side so that it can chill and set up and be soap ones again.
And when you’re done it’s going to look like this, pop them out and they are going to come out and look so super cute. You might actually get your kids to be excited to wash they’re little hands for ones in they’re lives. So ones you have the soap like this you want to give it as a party favor to remember, so you can do all kinds of fun stuff. Like get a little clear bags tie it up with a little bow, very fun, very easy party favor.
So you know this Halloween don’t be that person that gives up popcorn balls again, it’s just lame, lame, lame be that fun neighbor that gives our pumpkin pouches and spooky soap. And everyone will have a very happy Halloween.
