How to Make Grilled Clams and Mussels
Grilled Clams and Mussels Ingredients Toothpicks 1 pkg. bacon 1 lb. scallops, rinsed and dried with muscle removed 2 tbsp. fresh sage, minced 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 lemon, cut into wedges Directions 1. Soak the toothpicks in water for about 30 minutes, so they don't burn on the grill. 2. Par Boil the bacon strips for about 3 minutes and set aside. 3. Wrap a piece of blanched bacon around each scallop and thread with a toothpick to keep together. Transfer the wrapped scallops onto a plate. 4. Sprinkle the scallops with sage and drizzle with the olive oil and lemon juice. 5. Grill the scallops for 2-3 minutes per side over a medium hot fire. 6. Remove the scallops from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Speaker: This recipe for grilled clams and muscles with garlic is a great shellfish appetizer to serve in at an outdoor barbecue. Start by preheating the grill to medium high heat. Then clean and devoured two pounds of muscles and clean two dozen clams. If a muscle shell is open, tap it on a board. If it's alive it will close. If it doesn't, toss it. Next place a large disposal foil roasting pan on the grill and add six tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Now add four cloves of minced garlic. One medium minced _ cook covered. Then add half a cup of dry white wine and a quarter teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes and stir.
Now add the muscles and clams and spread in even layer. Grill cover for about 8-10 minute or until muscles and clams open. Serve garnished with parsley. Grilled clams and muscles.
