Thanks for stopping by fixmyrecipe.com. Chef Billy Parisi here and as usual we got our recipe that’s a little broken. It comes from Jill Bashem of Baltimore. She sent us a really simple recipe for guacamole. She sent its coming up turning like liquid. Most of the time guacamole is involved in party; no one wants to dip their chips in liquid. Don’t worry, we got your holy guacamole coverer right here at fixmyrecipe.com.
Okay now to get this avocado out of a chill, simply cut it in half, put a knife on this seed, twist it to pull it out. Get a spoon and just carve it right out, it should pop out right out and just dice it out. Now for the tomatoes, cut the top and the bottom off. Slice it thin almost like your carving it out. Make sure no seeds are in there and simply dice it up. All right Jill, guacamole should be chunky not funky so firs thing were going to do is pass this one avocado through a food mill. If you don’t have a food mill simply push it right through a strainer and this is good.
All right Sarah were simply going to throw all of our vegetables right into our pureed avocado. Some red onion and some beautiful tomatoes that we diced and Jill were going to add a little kick to this. One serrano pepper that we seeded, as you can see Jill our guacamole is already nice and chunky, were past that liquid state. And now for a little flavor some lemon juice for a little zang. Some fresh chopped cilantro and what would guacamole be with no flavor without salt and pepper.
All right Jill simply just take a rubber spatula, fold it all in. All right Jill now its all mixed together lets get into a bowl and have a little taste. All right Jill now that all of our ingredients combined lets try it with a little chip. Eating guacamole without chip is like ham with no bone, let’s try it out. Very tasty Jill, remember dice those beautiful vegetables up. You don’t want to run everything through a blender when it looks this good.
Guacamole is very simple yet very easy to mess up. Remember there’s no job too big, there’s no job too small here at fixmyrecipe.com
