Hey guys! iPod touch 2G geek here and in this video, I’m going to show you how you can produce YouTube videos in high definitions so that you can get the high definition link on your videos just like I have.
First thing I want to tell you guys though is go ahead and check out this kids channel iTouch Case Reviews. I believe it’s called if I’m wrong on that just look to the right in the video description. They got a pretty cool channel, it does a lot of case reviews, go check them out.
So onto the video, first thing you will need is Quick Time. Alright, if you don’t already have that so this is made by Apple just go to Apple.com, search for Quick time and download it, alright.
Now, you’re going to want to also download the Camtasia Studios, now this is a $300.00 program. Well worth of money, not worth spending the $300.00 though so go ahead and check out my video called Giveaway Number 1 and that will show you how to get it for free.
Now, you’re going to you know record, do whatever you want then you’re going to save it to your desktop and the file should be a Cambric file, it should look something like this. Once it’s saved just double click it and it will open up the Camtasia Studio editing software. You’re just going to drag the video down onto the time line and you are going to select HD, alright. It’s fine for now, I'm going to select okay and now you’re going to you know perform all your edit call outs, whatever you want.
So, once that’s done, you are going to select produce video as—select the drop down arrow and select add Edit Preset. You’re going to select new however, I’m going to select edit just to you show because I already have this preset. So, you are going to title it YouTube Widescreen HD Preset just like that. A description, you don’t really need one. If you want one you can just put HD preset for YouTube.
Now for the File Format, this is where Quick Time comes in. You are going to select MOV Quick Time movie. After you do that, you’re going to select next. Now, you’re going to select Quick Time options and settings. Here, you’re going to select 50 frames or I’m sorry, 30 frames per second, then select the Key frames to Automatic, the Quality to Best and you can either set the encoding to Best Quality or Faster Encode. I used Faster Encode only because it already takes you know long time to render the HD videos so that part is up to you.
Over here the Data rate, just select automatic and select okay. Size, you’re going to want to want to select the drop down menu or arrow and select 1280x720 HD then select okay. And filter I believe yeah, filter you can just leave it on. Under the Sound Settings you’re going to select MPEG 4 audio, for the rate, you are going to select to the drop down arrow and select 48 KHz; the size is going to be 16 bit and the use will be stereo. I’m going to select okay and okay; we’re going to select next and then you’re going to select custom size right here. For the width that you’re going to enter 1280, height will be 720, going to select next, next, and close.
So now, you’re going to go back to this drop down arrow and select the YouTube widescreen HD preset. Now, you’re going to select next and you can title it whatever you want so let’s just title it “How to.” We’re going to save it ti your desktop, going to select next and you can go over all these information if you’d like although it should already be correct. You must select finish and wait for the video to render now it will take depending on the size and the speed of your computer, either faster or slower than this mine, just want really fast because it was only a one-second video.
So, once this is done you’re going to get a pop up like this in a Quick Time, you know, box I guess you could say and there’ll always be a preview you can play it if you’d like and that’s we’re just going to exit that over here, you’re going to get a pop up saying the production is complete. You’re going to select finish and you can close Camtasia Studio. Just select no, for the save you can delete the Cambric file and that was from a previous video I was trying to record. We’re going to get a file called “How To” or whatever you decided to name your video.
So, you’re going to open that up and you’re Quick time movie should be in there. You can go ahead and drag that out and you can delete this folder. Now, you should have you’re Quick time video, so now what you’re going to do is open up YouTube. Log in of course, select upload, browse and browse for the video. You’re going to select upload video and follow the instructions as necessary. And that’s how you do it guys, it’s that simple once you do that, once it’s finished uploading it will probably take a while for you to recognize that it’s high definition. Then once it does recognize that as HD, it will put in that HD link at the bottom of your videos. So thanks guys for watching, remember to write comment and subscribe. See you later.
