I’m going to show you how to make an invisible folder, delete it and also make it on the laptop. So, right click, move your desktop, whatever new folder, right click it, click properties, I’m going to the customized tab, click change icon and then hit one of the plain icons then click OK, apply.
So then, it will disappear after a while, then we’re going to rename it and then for desktop users, hold Alt and on the numerical pad, all the way to the right, not the one, not the numbers with the exclamation marks and the numbers and the different signs over them. You want to go all the way to the right on your keyboard in those numbers, and you know what I mean by that.
Now, I’ll type in 255 or 0160 so 255. I’m just going to type in that and then you click enter and I already made this one and I’m just going to wait. I’m just decently getting fast here, anyway not in the invisible folder as you can see here. And for laptops, you don’t have the numerical pad all the way to the right, right? So, what do you do instead is click the start button. Click “All Programs”, click “Accessories,” “System Tools” and “Character Map” and then find the blank, space. It’s right here pretty close not that far this on the far space, and then just click select then copy it and then you get them and it gets Alt + 0160 or Alt +255. It doesn’t really matter.
And then exit out, find your folder, all to your desktop, rename it and just copy and paste that in, click enter and see it means I already have a folder like that right over there and that’s how you do it on laptops.
It’s harder on the laptop but it’s actually the same thing basically so either Alt 255 or Alt 0160 or I think most numbers will work if you just hold Alt and whatever numbers, but that now your invisible folder, but a problem in Windows Vista is you can’t delete this folder. Watch, I have Windows Vista not a Bricopack or something, right click it and then I could delete, it does delete.
So on Windows Vista what you want to do is download Winrar, a link would be down on the right. You have to download it on my site. First go to the left and click download. You have to first register, then try to find Winrar after tell you guys really quick.
So I think Winrar is on the second page, there you go. And just click download from here and then download, and after you download it’s a really small file so you find the folder right click it, click Add to Archive and then check the box that says, “delete file after archiving,” click OK.
Now the files are deleted, this Winrar file and so undelete that, there you go. Folder is deleted. So that’s how you make an invisible folder on your desktop or laptop and delete on Windows Vista.
