If you are looking to add a little look of the Irish to your next meal, this dessert is perfect. Hi, I am Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com and today we have a recipe for Irish Coffee Ice Cream.
This recipe is a variation of Irish Coffee. The traditional recipe consists of Black Coffee, Irish Whiskey and sugar mixed together then topped with a thick layer of cream.
Now for this recipe, we'll need very few ingredients, starting with one pint or half a liter of coffee ice cream, three tablespoons of instant espresso coffee or any strong instant coffee, three table spoons of Irish Whiskey or Bourbon, and one cup whipped cream.
Now, you can alter the amount based on how many people you are serving, but this serves too. We have let our ice cream soften, and so our first step is to dissolve the coffee into the Bourbon or Whiskey.
Now that we have combined our ingredients, we are going to add them to the ice cream. Now, we'll let the ice-cream refreeze. So while you are waiting for the ice-cream to refreeze, you can get your garnishes ready.
What I have right here is just a brown chocolate that I am going to chop up, and sprinkle on top afterwards. Now that our ice-cream is refrozen, we are just going to serve it up with some whipped cream, and chocolate cherries on top. It's been said that only Irish coffee covers the four essential food groups, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.
