How to Make Kuzu Guvec Part 3/3
So now our guvec is done, you can get ready to serve it in our beautiful serving platter right here. Now, what you want to make sure when you’re serving the guvec you could see it’s steaming up really nicely. You can even smell the freshness of the lamb. It’s really delicious. And you could even see like the pretty color. You see how I put the squash in there. The squash just brightens it up a little bit, that’s why I use the squash instead of zucchini but otherwise, you could use zucchini as well.
So now when you’re serving this, what you want to do is get the meat that’s on the bottom very gently lift that up first and try to place as many as you can on your serving platter without aggravating the rest of the vegetables. So that’s very slowly, so now we could put on our vegetables. We’ve made this with the meat but you can make it with chicken and shrimp or just plain vegetables if you like. Now that we’ve waited for our dessert to cool down, we’re going to get ready to ready to garnish and put it in the fridge.
I have my desserts right here and we’ve been waiting for them to cool. And now that they’ve cooled to about room temperature, we can cover them and put them in the fridge. Now they don’t thicken up right away. They start thickening up after you put them in the fridge. So you just want to cover them and then you want to garnish them after you’ve taken them out of the fridge after they get really nice and thick. So let’s put them in the fridge. So now it’s been a few hours and our pudding is really nice and thick. And now it’s time to garnish with the coconut. Now remember, you have to do it after it thickens up otherwise the coconut is going to fall in and melt all over the place and you don’t want that.
Just take a little shredded coconut and this really doesn’t even need a garnish if you don’t want to. I just like the way the white looks on top. Just gives it a nice finishing touch. And this is our delicious, famous, cream cikola desserts or chocolate pudding. I know you’re going to like it and as we say in Turkey, eat sweet, talk sweet.
So here we are at the end of another delicious meal. We’ve made the charkas kebab, which is a zucchini and yogurt dip, the bulgur pilav, the kuzu guvec which a lamb casserole and a delicious chocolate pudding. So we’ve cooked up a lot together and I hope you enjoyed it. There’s still so much more so join me next time and for my kitchen to yours, [Foreign Language].
