Thanks for checking out another episode of FixMyRecipe.com. Chef Billy Parisi here. Our new fix goes to Wasol of Columbia, Missouri. She submitted a recipe for lasagna. Wasol, you can’t open a can of tomato sauce and expect to get some decent lasagna. Pay close attention. We’re going to fix you up.
Wasol, the most important ingredient to me in this lasagna is going to be your sauce. Juts your luck, we made spaghetti sauce not too long ago, you need to do this. Check out the procedures on the Videos page under sauces, you’ll find a recipe for spaghetti sauce. You’re going to go perfect with this.
Wasol, I don’t have a problem with you using that parmesan cheese for this lasagna, but we need to kick up the flavor a little bit. So we are going to shred fresh Parmesan cheese, little bit of provolone. We’re going to slice some mozzarella and of course ricotta cheese is going to finish it off.
Wasol, I don’t know about you but I got a little bit of a workout here creating all that cheese. Trust me. It is all worth it in the end. Now we need to boil our lasagna noodles. It’s going to take about eight to 10 minutes. We got to get it to that perfect al dente texture, but first don’t forget to salt that water.
Alright Wasol, noodles are done. Tomato sauce is heated up. Cheese is grated. It is time. Let’s plate up our lasagna. Don’t forget to spray our cooking dish. What you need to do is layer this lasagna. Tomato sauce, noodles then cheeses, not specifically in that order. Oh yeah looks great. Oh, wait a minute. We got to change up that music. Everyone’s Italian today. We’re making lasagna. Change it up.
Wasol, everything has come together just so nicely and so easily. What we’re going to do now is wrap it in some tin foil, throw it in the oven at 350 degrees. Come back and take a look in about 30 minutes.
Oh my, there is a god. Cheese, I had no clue I was in the motherland not in Chicago. This tastes so good. Wasol, put your recipe in the trash, maybe hide it in the book somewhere, I don’t care. Use this. Absolutely incredible.
